Shelby and Jacob had such a romantic engagement session down by the salt river. They even included their fur baby Thor into the session.
When I was working as the lead photographer in the portrait studio at MotoPhoto back in 2008, Shelby came in for her high school senior photos. We developed a friendship from there and she became my very first portfolio model when I ventured out onto my own in 2009. Now, a 4th grade school teacher, she is getting married! And I couldn't approve of Jake more. :) I hadn't met him until the day of their shoot, but could see exactly why Shelby had fallen in love with him. They are perfect. I cannot wait until the day they tie the knot in March.
We had to change locations for this session at the last minute because of bees, and Shelby got stung before the session even started! They arrived at Coons Bluff early to check out the area and when I arrived, she came running over that she'd been stung. Way too many bees! So we drove down to another gorgeous picnic area around the corner that I love. Luckily we weren't bothered by bees! Having just met Jake and not sure what he would be open for, I was thrilled when he was so willing to do whatever I wanted- especially when it came to getting them in the river!
I love this girl and am so happy and proud to be able to have this involvement in her big day!
